process and advantages of thermal hardening and hydrogenation
It is a surface hardening heat treatment, mainly used as an electroless nickel plating post-treatment to switch the crystalline surface of the Ni-P alloy to a higher hardness one.
The maximum temperatures that can be reached during processing reach 300 °C.
The Dehydrogenation heat treatment is a process capable of reducing the embrittlement of the details, a phenomenon due to an insertion of hydrogen into the crystalline lattice.
Depending on the customer’s requests, and on the breaking load of the material, it is possible to determine the time and temperature of the treatment, in order to reduce the presence of hydrogen molecules by deabsorption.
Thermal hardening and dehydrogenation oven
The plant is completely automatic, in which the oven is interfaced with a plant management software which guarantees the complete traceability of the working operating conditions.
